Membership
Membership of FOAOTMAD is open to anyone who has an interest in playing, dancing to or listening to American old-time music. As a member you will receive our quarterly colour magazine, Old Time News, as well as discounted prices for our festival and workshops.
Our annual festival includes a weekend of concerts, short workshops and sessions covering both old-time music and dance. Artists come from the UK, America and Europe to take part giving festival goers a full flavour of the world of American old-time music.
For further information see our FESTIVAL page
If you are interested in either flatfoot or clog dancing then attending our festival and camps will give you access to both dancers and dance groups.
For further information see our DANCE page
We run two camps a year where you can mix and play with like minded people and musicians giving you the chance to learn new techniques and tunes and to socialise with other musicians and dancers.
For further information see our CAMPS page
The society also supports and takes part in non-FOAOTMAD organised events. These occur around the country and include picking weekends, sessions, festivals and concerts.
We have many members from outside the UK but we do have to add on an extra cost to cover overseas postage of the magazine.
There are several types of membership available, designed to fit every need.
